SDCT Catalog

  2025

As part of a project for a course at the UT Austin School of Design and Creative Technologies, I developed the visual system and layout for a printed faculty catalog. My goal was to create a piece that felt cohesive, informative, and aligned with SDCT’s branding while maintaining clarity and ease of navigation.

The catalog organizes faculty bios alphabetically, with leadership appearing first in each department. To streamline content and avoid redundancy, I included each person’s full biography only once, referencing their name, title, and page number elsewhere as needed.

For the cover, I chose the SDCT-exclusive typeface “TwoType” to showcase its distinctive, layered character. Inside, I used a consistent four-column grid to keep bio spreads clean and legible. Brand elements—like dot patterns, underlined subheadings, and bold color blocks to introduce new sections—enhance visual consistency. A thin top bar and vertical folios indicate department names and help guide the reader through the content.

All text was sourced from the SDCT website, and the final printed piece reflects a thoughtful balance of structure, function, and design. I’m proud of how the catalog communicates both professionalism and creativity, serving as a compelling resource for the SDCT community.
