In May 2024, I participated in a Maymester abroad program in Ireland, enrolling in a photojournalism course led by the acclaimed Donna DeCesare. Over four immersive weeks, I captured the essence of Dublin and the broader Irish landscape, my camera becoming an inseparable companion as I honed my skills and deepened my understanding of visual storytelling.

At the culmination of a course, the collective work of 30 students was compiled into a 60-page zine. As the sole designer, I assumed the role of Creative Director, leading a small team of three other students to develop the publication's cohesive layout and visual identity.

The featured spreads highlight the photojournalism project my group spearheaded, exploring the Irish language and culture within communities of mixed Irish descent. This project allowed us to weave compelling narratives through design, emphasizing cultural preservation and identity.

After a month of capturing moments everywhere I went, I accumulated over 1,000 photos. Determined to showcase the work I was proud of, I curated the best shots from various locations and compiled them into a cohesive photobook.
This project allowed me to combine my passion for photography with design, creating a tangible collection that celebrates the places and memories I encountered.
